Make CO2 Happen

Imagine you have a simple surgery to undergo.

Imagine you have to go to the hospital days earlier for annoying preoperative treatments.

Imagine undergoing that simple surgery and leaving the operating room with problems you didn't have before.

Imagine having to stay in the hospital for days and having to go back again and again because what was supposed to be a simple procedure has caused damage to your body that will no longer work as it used to.

All this thanks to Angiodroid is just a faraway nightmare.

Every day we work with enthusiasm aiming at a common goal. That’s what always pushes us to improve, spending as much effort as we can on every project we decide to take part of.

Every day we try to break down a barrier, created by years and years of medical-scientific routines.

Join our project: be promoters of innovation with us.

Research & Development

The project "CO2 Flush TEVAR" focuses on the development of an advanced technique for flushing thoracic endoprostheses (TEVAR) using medical carbon dioxide (CO2). The main objective is to significantly reduce the risk of cerebral embolisms and post-surgery infarctions, caused by the presence of residual air inside the endoprosthesis after implantation, air bubbles that can then ‘travel up’ the bloodstream to the brain and cause serious damage.
The project plans the design and construction of a prototype of the flushing system (CO2 FlushTEVAR), the development of a software to control it, biocompatibility studies, functional tests and the drafting of a technical dossier. The technique is being validated in collaboration with the IRCCS Sant'Orsola, involving vascular surgery and cardiology experts. The project's activities will lead to a technological advancement in the washing of endoprostheses with CO2, paving the way for future clinical developments.
